Michael Browning

Michael Browning was born in Scotland in the United Kingdom where he attended St. Patrick Primary School and Holy Cross High School. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Glasgow and a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling from California State University Northridge. Currently in his 28th year with the Archdiocese, Michael has served as a teacher at St. Vincent, Los Angeles and Blessed Sacrament, Hollywood and as principal of Ascension, Los Angeles and is in his 17th year as principal of Saint Anne School in Santa Monica.

Michael Browning currently serves as the principal at Saint Anne School, a Catholic TK-8th Grade school located in Santa Monica, California. The school was founded in 1908 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. The school has traditionally served lower income families from predominantly Latino backgrounds and currently serves 266 students from 66 different zip codes throughout Los Angeles County. Saint Anne was the first fully blended learning Catholic school in Southern California. The school offers a truly individualized educational program specific to the needs of each student.
